Max has represented Australia at the Olympics, World Championships and Commonwealth Games. Winning a Bronze medal in the 1km Time Trial at the Edinburgh Commonwealth Games (1986). Max has raced over 30 years winning numerous Australian Championships and many of Austrlia’s top Wheel races on the velodrome.
Max has gained vast experience in the cycling industry over the past 30 years having been involved in sales &service at many bicycle shops. Max has also been involved in coaching cyclists-setting cycling training plans and teaching bike skills and safety.

- Commonwealth Games 1986 Edinburgh Scotland Bronze medal 1000m time trial
- World champioships Zurich Switzerland 1983 1000m sprint.
- World Championships 1987 Vienna Austria Keirin and sprint as professional
- World Championships 1990 Maebashi Japan 5k individual pursuit and Keirin
- Australian Champion 1000m time trial elite men 1983,1984 and 1986 silver medal 1985
- National Professional champion 1 mile and teams pursuit.
- Represented Australia:Oceania Games Brisbane 1981.
- Australian Champion 1000m time trial elite men 1983,84 and 86 ;silver medal 1985
- Australian Professional Champion 1 mile and teams pursuit.
- Winner Melbourne Cup on wheels, Golden Wheel race, Burnie wheel race Tamania,10 mile scratch races at Latrobe,Devonport and Burnie Tasmanian xmas carnivals
- Winner Multiple Elite mens at Victorian State Championships in Sprint,1000m time trial, 4000m individual Pursuit and teams Pursuit
